Engineering Graduate Development Programme
The Engineering Graduate Development Programme supports university engineering undergraduates, as well as providing on-the-job training for engineering graduates. The programme is ideal for electrical engineers looking to focus on power systems engineering. We are also interested in mechanical, civil and chemical materials engineers.
We started the programme in 2001, and it's now a tried and proven gateway to a rewarding career as a professional engineer in New Zealand’s electricity supply industry.
Business Graduate Development Programme
We also offer a Business Graduate Development Programme which offers you exciting career opportunities in a number of professional areas outside of engineering.
We have specialist teams responsible for developing and monitoring supply and security systems, risk analysis, planning and managing major projects, providing in-depth economic analysis, regulatory advice, identifying and planning for long-term energy demands, as well as managing relationships with our stakeholders and customers.
At the end of the Graduate Development Programme, you will have enhanced and developed your analytical, commercial, systems development, information technology, writing, communication, negotiation, business planning and customer relations skills, to name but a few.
