New Zealand Landcare Trust
Since 2000, Transpower has been a major partner of the New Zealand Landcare Trust, which encourages sustainable land management on private rural land. Trustees include Federated Farmers, Fish & Game, Federation of Mountain Clubs, Rural Women, Forest and Bird, Ecologic Foundation and Federation of Maori Authorities.
With funding from Transpower and the Ministry for the Environment, the Trust employs regional co-ordinators to encourage, facilitate and work with over 350 landcare groups throughout New Zealand.
