Drury switching station successfully commissioned
11 May 2010Transpower said today that it has now successfully commissioned a new switching station at Drury, south of Auckland. This is one of several incremental projects to reinforce supply to Auckland prior to the completion and commissioning of the new transmission line from Whakamaru.

Ceremony marks start of electrical construction on Pole 3 project
21 Apr 2010The Minister of Energy and Resources, Hon Gerry Brownlee, turned the first sod of the HVDC Pole 3 project at a ceremony at Haywards substation on 19 April. The event marked the start of construction of the critical electrical systems and buildings of the new Pole.
