In accordance with the Commerce Act (Electricity Lines Thresholds) Notice 2003, Transpower has prepared its Compliance Statement for the First Assessment Date (6 September 2003).  In this Compliance Statement, Transpower:

• demonstrates that, because the specified price path threshold is clearly meaningless for Transpower, it is not practicable to determine whether Transpower has complied with that price path
• sets out an alternative approach that has an equivalent affect to the specified price path threshold
• demonstrates that Transpower has complied with the alternative approach.
