About Outage Planning

All plans, whether for long range for Windows (of opportunity) or short range for Plant Requests are filtered to include only valid work that has an indicative date and time as listed below:

  • Circuits
  • Capacitors
  • Special Configurations
  • Transformers
  • Busses and Bus sections
  • RTUs
  • Condensers
  • HVDC
  • Comms CCTs

Work with a nature of OTH, PSO, SCA or CIR may involve removal of equipment from service, depending upon the reason for the request. These terms are explained in the Glossary. Any queries on these or feedback on this site can be sent to either your Transpower Account Executive or Field Support Planner.

Annual Outage Plan

The Outage Plan for the current financial year (Jul - Jun) is available for query on-line, and details “Windows” of opportunity within which work is planned. Generally default times of 07:30 to 17:30 are used.

Plant Request Plan

Plant Requests can be selected within any two dates and are updated on-line.

Once a user of the site saves a selection of sites this will stay resident on the connected PC as a ‘cookie’ to the same selection to be used in future.
