Partnerships

Transpower New Zealand recognises its responsibility to contribute to the communities in which it operates, and where its staff and customers live and work.

The focus has been on developing genuine partnerships and two-way relationships.

Rural Communities Trust

Transpower is a principal member of the Rural Communities Trust, established in 1982 to give financial assistance to groups, families and individuals in rural areas. The Trust provides specific purpose grants to individuals and communities with a population of less than 2,000 people.

To date, over 750 grants to the value of over $600,000 have been approved.
