Procurement Policy

Tjis policy sets out the standards and requirements that we need to apply when purchasing goods and services.

Procurement Process

Transpower’s procurement processes reflect a preference for awarding period supply contracts, valid for 3-5 years, established as a result of an ‘open’ tendering process.

For both period supply contracts and one-off contracts Registration/Expression of Interest (ROI/EOI) instructions and Requests for Information (RFI) are advertised on both the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) and the Transpower website. It is the responsibility of vendors to track any Transpower tender opportunities by reference to the GETS and Transpower website.

Transpower’s focus is on establishing procurement contracts with ‘manufacturers’ and not ‘agents’.
