Residual Charges and the Treatment of Batteries Options Consultation
This consultation sought feedback on how the residual charge should be applied for batteries, and for storage more broadly. We know battery storage is something customers are keen for us to carefully work through, and we want to give it full consideration as we develop a proposed new TPM. See below for the consultation document, and the 14 submissions and 4 cross-submissions received.
The Electricity Authority published two relevant documents on 22 March 2021:
- Electricity storage and residual transmission charges by Sense Partners
- Letter to Transpower on TPM residual charges and the treatment of batteries
Please email us at tpm@transpower.co.nz if you have any questions. We continue to publish questions and answers here.
