Transpower advises that we are currently experiencing a power outage on our network, affecting approximately 17,000 people the wider Taupō region.
Our crews are currently onsite investigating the cause of the fault and once this is established, we can begin work to restore power.
Residents and businesses in affected areas should expect to be without power for some time. We will confirm a restoration time once we have further information.
