Following a power outage this morning to Kaikohe and the surrounding areas, power has now been restored on the Transpower network.
Transpower advises that it may take up to 4pm today for Top Energy to restore to their local network on a staged basis.
The cause of the outage is currently unknown. Investigations will continue into trying to determine what caused the fault.
The outage also affected some telecommunications networks, making communications difficult. Top Energy recommends that the best way to stay informed is by checking their Facebook page, where they will provide information as it becomes available.
