WAC

A certificate, issued by an employer, to an employee which: declares the employee competent to hold a work authority, defines the equipment the employee can work on or near, and the type of work the employee can carry out.

waste

Office based waste includes all waste sent to landfill from Transpower offices – organic and inorganic. This category has been included primarily because of the potential to influence behaviour through introducing waste minimisation practises in Transpower offices. It is expected that this will positively influence behaviour in other categories. A recycling system already exists in all Transpower offices, but green (organic) waste is not currently separated. It is proposed to introduce separate organic waste disposal and review general recycling to ensure it is operating as well as possible. Transpower’s disposal of other office equipment such as phones, computers, desks, and disposal of redundant transmission assets (eg old conductors, steel etc) will also be reviewed.
