2016 STAR Awards Finalists announced!

Safety By Design Award

FINALISTS:

For the design of a protective blast suit.

For the design of an aluminium ‘man cage’ and an alternative cable route.

 

Safety Innovation Award

For the development of a ‘Working Alone’ smartphone app.

  • LIV-WTK Wiring Team – Broadspectrum

For the development of an automated reel winder.

  • Tower Painting Team – Northpower

For the development of a protective blast suit.

 

Team Safety Award

FINALISTS:

  • MNG-ROS Marine Foundation Team – Electrix

Workplace Safety Leadership Award – Individual

Depot Award

The judges decided the nominations received in this category were too few and did not adequately meet the judging criteria.

As a result, the judges have decided to pull this category from this year’s Awards, but have issued a challenge to all Service Provider Depots to gain nominations for the next STAR Awards. They feel this category covers an important part of our industry where high safety standards should be celebrated.
