Requirements Common to Generator and Demand Customers

Under the Code, we require Asset Owners to provide information about any assets that are connected to the National Grid.

Asset Owners are to use the Test Plan Form to notify the system operator of their intention to conduct system tests.
The system operator has published its internal operations guide for commissioning new power system assets.
The system operator identifies that a situation warrants a double circuit tripping be treated as a single risk and actions this in accordance with the Risk Management Policies in the Policy Statement.

Requirements for Generator Customers

Generators are required to submit information to the system operator to meet Electricity Industry Participation Code requirements. The following links provide information and forms.

Requirements for Demand Customers

Demand Customers (Distributors, Direct Connects and the Grid Owner) are required to submit information to the system operator to meet the Electricity Industry Participation Code requirements. The following links provide information and forms.

Transpower as the system operator has agreed to publish the transitional LQA agreement that parties entered into just before the EGRs became effective in 2004.
