Security of Supply Forecasting and Information Policy

One of the functions of the system operator, specified in the Code, is to prepare and publish a Security of Supply Forecasting and Information Policy (SOSFIP).

In consultation with the industry and as part of the current regulatory regime we have revised the Security of Supply Forecasting and Information Policy, this has now been gazetted by the Electricity Authority and is effective from 1 August 2019. A link to the approved version of this policy is in the Approved Policy section below.

Approved Policy

The Security of Supply Forecasting and Information Policy sets out our functions in relation to the provision of information and short to medium term forecasting.
