Landowner guides
Transpower has produced a number of publications designed to assist you in understanding safety and other requirements when working near our lines.
Corridor Management General brochure
This brochure provides information to those seeking to develop land close to existing high voltage transmission lines.
Please note that Transpower's Corridor Management Policy (CMP) was developed to provide guidance to those seeking to develop land close to existing high voltage transmission lines. Since the development of the CMP the National Policy Statement for Electricity Transmission (NPSET) has come into effect. The NPSET requires district and unitary plans to include an appropriate buffer corridor.
Transpower is working with Councils around the country to ensure buffer corridors reflect local conditions. Once identified and included in the Council’s plan this buffer corridor will have precedence over the CMP referred to in this brochure.
