Transpower New Zealand Limited has today announced the appointment of Richard Hobbs to the position of General Manager Strategy on the General Management Team.
Richard will take up the role from 1 July, 2019.
Chief Executive Alison Andrew says Richard demonstrates a deep knowledge and understanding of the sector and will bring with him significant experience in strategy development and implementation.
He is currently the Investment Manager for Spark Infrastructure in Sydney, which has ownership in TransGrid, Victoria Power Networks, and South Australia Power Networks.
Prior to joining Spark Infrastructure Richard worked as a consultant for Boston Consulting Group, an Energy Markets Analyst for Bloomberg New Energy Finance and was the Manager of Clean Energy Markets for the Australian Government.
