The Grid Blueprint will be a key tool that supports planning decisions across the sector including investors, generators, large electricity users, distributors, developers, and other key decision makers. Their input is essential.
We are developing the blueprint by engaging widely, gathering views, information and knowledge from many others.
Since early in 2025, we’ve been talking with people about their ambitions for the future and have sought specific feedback on our work through formal consultations – receiving more than 300 written submissions to date.
We are testing our assumptions with hundreds of stakeholder organisations throughout the process, with their feedback and insights directly informing our decisions. This has included engaging through meetings, workshops, webinars and conference presentations.
We welcome feedback on our work. Please contact us at [email protected] if you’d like to talk or have any questions.
Working with ConsumerNZ
Toward the end of 2025, we partnered with ConsumerNZ to survey Kiwi consumers about what they thought of New Zealand's energy future. The feedback they received was shared with us and has supported our work to develop the Grid Blueprint.
To support that consultation, ConsumerNZ wrote this article and created a great video for Facebook - check it out here.
