In December 2025, we provided our submission for investment approval. The Commission has now reviewed our proposal and given its final approval.
On 9 December 2025, we provided our submission to the Commerce Commission for an increase to base capex allowance to recover the costs of this project. The Commission has given its final approval after rigorously testing our proposal to make sure we continue to deliver Kiwis a reliable electricity supply at the best value for money.
