The Grid owner has put into place operational limitations for voltage management in relation to frequent switching of 220kV circuits with cable portions or cable ends in the Upper North Island region.
This is in relation to the following 220kV circuits: Otahuhu-Whakamaru 1 and 2, Hobson-Penrose 1, Albany-Wairau Road 4, Hobson-Wairau Road 1, Pakuranga-Penrose 3 and Pakuranga-Whakamaru 1 and 2.
These operational limitations are being reviewed continuously by the Grid Owner together with the System Operator. Up to date details of outages of any of the cable circuits are provided through POCP.
