Transpower advises that it will offer deferral payment terms for transmission charges to its customers who themselves are providing financial relief to businesses impacted by the New Zealand Government’s Alert Level 4 lockdown.
Transpower will also provide payment deferral relief to industrial customers directly connected to the National Grid that are closed or have limited operation.
The payment deferral will be offered for up to three months to qualifying customers. The deferred payment will be recovered over the remaining months of the payment year.
Where Transpower’s customers are exposed to directly affected businesses, Transpower expects the financial relief offered to be passed onto those businesses.
Deferral terms will be proportional to the level of impact or exposure experienced by each of Transpower’s customers.
