Our Auckland Strategy

We are planning ahead to keep the energy flowing in the City of Sails.

New Zealand’s biggest city is expanding rapidly and its energy needs are increasing – particularly across housing and transport.

Our Auckland Strategy outlines a programme of work to support this growth and enable Auckland’s energy future and harness new technologies.

We need to ensure that the grid remains robust and reliable, that it can support decarbonisation, as well as development across the region.

We have an extensive maintenance programme planned on our 220kV lines over the next 30 years and are collaborating with our stakeholders to realise the region’s energy goals.
