TPM development: Design Principles consultation

We developed the following design principles to help guide the development of a new TPM proposal, as we made necessary trade-offs between options which otherwise comply with the TPM Guidelines.

Our goal was to develop the best TPM proposal we could, consistent with the new TPM Guidelines, the Electricity Authority’s statutory objective and any determination by the Commerce Commission under Part 4 of the Commerce Act 1986.

Our response

We revised our design principles based on our review and consideration of the submissions we received. This included making it clearer they sit under the TPM Guidelines, the Electricity Authority's statutory objective and any determination by the Commerce Commission under Part 4 of the Commerce Act. On 29 September 2020, we published a summary of the feedback, our response and our final design principles.
